Our candles
What are Benka candles made of?
Our candles are hand-poured in soy wax. Each piece is shaped in a mould, released by hand and finished in our studio.
How long does a candle burn?
It depends on the size. Floral candles burn for up to 4 hours, sculpted pieces for around 6–8 hours, and jar candles for about 30–40 hours in total. Each product page lists its burn time.
Can I choose the colour?
Yes. Most floral and sculpted candles, bouquets and sachets can be made in the colour you choose on the product page. Want a shade that isn’t listed? Mention it in the gift note at checkout or message us on WhatsApp.
Why does my candle look slightly different from the photo?
Every piece is handmade, so small differences in shade, texture and finish are natural. Screens also show colours differently. Neither counts as a defect.
Do wax melts come with a warmer?
No. Wax melts need a warmer or diffuser, which you can add for ₹200. Its colour and shape may vary.
How long do wax sachets stay fragrant?
Up to 60 days, depending on where you keep them. They need no flame and work well in wardrobes, drawers and cars.
Orders & payment
Which payment methods do you accept?
You can pay with the methods shown at checkout, such as UPI, cards and net banking, through an RBI-authorised payment provider. We never see or store your card or UPI details.
Are taxes included in the price?
Yes. All prices are in rupees and inclusive of all applicable taxes. Delivery is extra: ₹150 within Maharashtra and ₹250 for the rest of India, added at checkout.
Can I add a gift note or send directly to someone?
Yes. Enter the recipient’s address at checkout and write your message in the gift note field. We’ll include it with the order.
Do you take bulk and corporate orders?
Yes, for weddings, baby showers, festive and corporate gifting. Use our custom orders form or WhatsApp us with the quantity, date and budget, and we’ll send a written quote.
Can I cancel my order?
Ready pieces can be cancelled any time before dispatch. Custom pieces, bouquets and hampers can be cancelled within 24 hours of ordering or before production starts. See Returns, Refunds & Cancellation.
Delivery
Where do you deliver?
To most PIN codes across India. We don’t ship internationally at the moment.
How long will my order take?
Ready pieces are dispatched in 3–5 working days, and custom pieces, bouquets and hampers in 7–10 working days. Delivery then takes 2–7 working days depending on your location. See Shipping & Delivery.
How much is shipping?
A flat ₹150 per order within Maharashtra and ₹250 for the rest of India. It’s added at checkout, so you see the full amount before you pay.
How do I track my order?
We share the tracking number on WhatsApp and email after dispatch. You can also use our Track your order page.
Returns & care
What if my candle arrives damaged or melted?
Message us within 48 hours of delivery with your order number and photos. We’ll replace it free of charge, or refund you if a replacement isn’t possible.
Can I return a candle I don’t like?
Because every piece is handmade and often personalised, we can’t accept returns for a change of mind. We’re always happy to help you choose before you order.
How do I get the best burn?
Trim the wick to ¼ inch before each use. Let the first burn last 3–4 hours so the top melts evenly, then burn for 2–3 hours at a time. Stop when ½ inch of wax remains. Read the full care guide.
How should I store my candles?
Keep them in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight. Soy wax can soften in high heat.
